Near the 200m was checked when crowded. A post-race vet exam revealed the colt to be lame (4/5) in the near-foreleg. Co-tnr was advised a vet clearance will be required prior to next race/trial. The Stable reported that the colt subsequently underwent further examination at Randwick Equine Centre that detected a subsolar abscess in the near-fore foot, which required surgical debridement.

Tnr was told a vet clearance is required prior to next race. Vet clearance since received.

When qst std that he was instructed to ride the filly in a prominent position as it had at its most recent start. Std he had to make more use of the filly than he would have preferred in the early stages to cross which he was able to do approaching the first turn. Std although mnt travelled satisfactorily in the mid stages he felt the filly was very disappointing as it was beaten prior to straightening. A post-race vet exam did not rev any abs. Stable rep confirmed the instructions.
