When quest re mid race tactics, in particular the margin gained on the main body of field, Rdr explained after making early use of mount to take up a forward position, gelding proved difficult to settle during the middle stages and rather than overly restrain, allowed mount to travel comfortably. After reviewing footage, agreed should have made greater effort to steady mount in the middle stages.
