When quest re tactics, rdr stated mare was having 1st start for stable & considering previous racing patterns, intention to ride where comfortable-said mount jumped fairly from wide gate, however when inside runners improved, decided not to pressure mount which would have resulted in being wide, so came back & obtain cover closer to rail-said in mid stages rode for luck & near 500m when beginning a run, was able to track up on rail-added near h/turn intended to take rails run, however, mindful of front runner shifting in & elected to keep up momentum & wait before shifting around that runner.

Rdr was advised after obtaining lead in the early stages, should have made a better attempt to bring the horse back, in an endeavour to allow gelding the best opportunity to finish the race off.
