Ten to Life  raced wide in early stages of the event. When questioned regarding below market performance, App S Lacey stated the mare travelled well to the 800 metres but was then inclined to hang out and commenced to weaken from that point, and in her opinion was disappointing. A post race Vet examination of TEN TO LIFE revealed no obvious abnormality, other than a poor post race recovery rate. Trainer B Gill was advised a Vet clearance would be required prior to the mares' next race start and a post-race swab sample was also taken from TEN TO LIFE.
