Rider stated that he was unable to improve his position as anticipated, particularly rounding the home turn when runners nearby were inconvenienced by a riderless horse, until near the 250m when he obtained clear running. He further stated that once clear, his mount was able to have an uninterrupted run and worked its way strongly to the line.

When quest re tactics early, which saw mount racing three-wide without cover throughout & if an opportunity when pace of race was only steady, to stride, which may have resulted in obtaining a position closer to rail, Rdr said instructed to obtain a position handy to mid, however; when horse began very well, was in two minds as to whether could fulfil instructs, however attempted to do so & early, felt outside runner would cross to rail & this would allow mount to settle one off.
