When questioned re tactics, which were to lead in contrast to established racing pattern, Rdr advised that early, it had not been intention to lead, however due to the lack of pace in the event and when expected leader elected to steady near the 1700m when racing to outside, and mount was travelling comfortably, allowed horse to remain in a good rhythm rather than attempt to restrain.
