On returning to the mounting yard rider Apprentice J Emmerson advised the gelding wasn’t comfortable in its action when racing. As a result, a post-race veterinary examination was ordered by Stewards with no abnormalities being detected.

When quest re tactics, in particular ride during middle stages which resulted in mount racing a significant distance off main body of field & lack of vigour shown to regain contact with field from that point onwards, Rdr stated instructed to jump and settle midfield, however after beginning only fairly & losing some ground, gelding commenced to race very green & hung out for majority of race, proving somewhat difficult to ride. Upon review of footage Rdr N. Morton agreed that greater effort could have been made to show more vigour in improving position.
