Near the 150m, steadied when tightened. When questioned Rdr explained last start horse led comfortably, however; today was unable to do so elected to take a sit just off the pace-said gelding was only having its third start & raced greenly, having to apply the whip approaching the 400m-added gelding didn’t travel into race like its previous start and although tightened near the 150m, elected not to continue applying pressure from this point. Rdr reminded of obligations to ride mounts out to end of the race, when possible. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs.
