When questioned as to the reason he failed to ride his mount out fully to the end of the race rider explained the mare, which had raced on the wrong leg for the majority of the race, did not feel entirely comfortable in its action therefore he did not ride out over the final two strides. No abs post race vet exam, F/Up Stable advised that the mare pulled up sound and will push on with the campaign. .

When questioned regarding racing three wide throughout, apprentice M Mankelow explained that her mount raced keenly and as a consequence she was unable to restrain to obtain a position closer to the inside. Apprentice Mankelow further added that she did not elect to progress forward and apply pressure to her mount as she was mindful to attempt to conserve her mount in an attempt to allow it to finish the race in a competitive manner. Apprentice Mankelow also added that due to the work endured after racing wide her mount was unable to finish the race
