Apprentice S Callow reported her instructions were to have the mare settle in a position that allowed her to travel comfortably and in a fluent rhythm. She further added she felt the pace of the race was quite quick and thought the leaders would’ve come back to her in the straight. She agreed that in hindsight she could’ve allowed the mare to stride further forward towards the leaders in the middle stages and be closer to the leading horses.
