Lost Virtue  Began awkwardly and shifted in. Near the 1000m shifted in and bumped another runner. When caught wide during the early stages, ridden forward to obtain the lead. Questioned re performance - rider stated intention to obtain handy position with cover. From wide barrier obliged to race wide early so elected to press forward to the lead. Once in leade filly refused to settle due to horse outside of it racing fiercely. Felt these factors contributed to filly failing to finish off race as expected. Timeless Lady  Jumped away awkwardly, making contact with another runner. Overraced for a short distance passing the 700m. Jockey L. Londregan reported that, in his opinion, the filly would be suited to races over longer distances as it was doing its best work over the concluding stages.

Nearctic Chiller  Slow to begin.Stewards asked apprentice L. Tarrant to explain the tactics adopted as after passing the 900m he shifted wider on the track and from the tail of the field improved quickly when positioned three wide to take up the lead passing the 600m. Apprentice Tarrant indicated that it had not been his pre-race intentions, however after settling, his mount commenced to overrace when the pace slackened at that point and after shifting wider to avoid heels, he was of the view that it would be in his best interests to position the horse closer to the lead.  Sunshine Coast  8/11/2015

Royal Standing  Approaching 100m was restrained to avoid heels. Rider explained that although gelding suffered interference in straight it was dour when placed under pressure and did not respond to his riding as he would have expected and as such was dissapointing. Red Claw  B Stewart reported, in his opinion, the horse was not entirely comfortable in the soft track conditions and he felt that as this was the horse's first start from a spell it would take benefit from the run. Trainer D. Meagher reported that in hindsight he may have erred in removing the blinkers from the horse's gear. He felt that the horse would be more suited to being stepped up over longer distances where the horse would be able to secure a position closer to the lead, and agreed with jockey Stewart's comments that the gelding was not entirely comfortable in today's soft track conditions.  Sunshine Coast  25/10/2015
