When questioned regarding the performance, Apprentice Panya agreed that the gelding was disappointing and stated that, in her opinion, the horse races best when it is able to gain a more forward position than in today’s event. Apprentice Panya also stated that the horse is better suited when racing over longer distances than today’s event. Trainer P. Duff agreed with Apprentice Panya’s comments. Jockey J. Lloyd advised that after having a favourable midfield position one off the fence the horse did overrace for a short distance when the pace was only steady in the early stages. He added that runners then improved around the field during the middle stages and he settled further back in the field than he would have liked. When rounding the home turn he improved into clear running, however the horse was very disappointing in the straight and failed to finish the race off. Trainer S. Kendrick advised he would send the horse for a short break.

She said she had been informed that the horse has a tendency to be slow to begin and so she was advised to be aggressive out of the barriers.
