Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination having not raced in 12 months and passed fit to start. Eased down in the home straight. Rider stated the gelding felt uncomfortable in its actions and she therefore elected to ease her mount down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing significant signs of tying-up and a poor post-race recovery. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a full veterinary clearance prior to barrier trialling to Stewards satisfaction again.
