When questioned re her riding App said that she was under no specific instructions but rather have the gelding travel where comfortable. She stated after obtaining a handy position the gelding travelled comfortably early however was under pressure from the 600m. App added that rounding the home turn she was then awkwardly placed on heels and had difficulty obtaining clear running. At the 200m she was of the belief the gelding was a spent force therefore she desisted from riding it out under full pressure. Stewards advised to show greater vigour in similar circumstances.
