A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding, which raced wide throughout and weakened noticeably in the straight revealed that it was displaying signs of respiratory distress. Trainer was told that prior to the gelding racing again he must provide a certificate of fitness, including the results of an endoscopic examination. Horse has since undergone tie back surgery and a complete post operative report received and cleared to race.
