Rider E Bell reported that her saddle shifted forward shortly after the start and when attempting to restrain, the saddle shifted to the side, therefore unable to restrain her mount, and as a result led the event by a considerable distance. On pulling up needed assistance by the clerk of the course and then dismounted.
