When questioned as to the improved performance, trainer expressed some surprise that the gelding was able to win today, however added that in his opinion the gear changes made for tonight's event were to the horse's advantage. He further added that he felt the horse also benefited by having it runs spaced leading into tonight's event and therefore may adopt a similar pattern moving forward in the horse's preparation.  Toowoomba  8/08/2015

Midnight Curfew  Raced wide throughout. Rider indicated he had concerns with the horse's action over the concluding stages and for this reason he did not pressure the horse over the final furlong, and indicated that the stable advised him that the horse would now be sent for a lengthy spell.
