A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be displaying signs of tying up & was treated on-course.

When asked about performance and the tactics, Rdr reported understood instructed to have gelding ridden further back, however, gelding is better suited when racing in a more forward position. When questioned, Tnr stated instructions were to begin neutrally on the gelding, and attempt to obtain cover on the fence as gelding has a habit of pulling hard previously.
