Held up for clear run in early part of h/straight before improving onto heels approaching 150m & shifted wider. When asked about tactics. Tnr stated intention to have gelding in forward position, however; can have a tendency to begin moderately and if so, gelding was to be ridden with cover. When asked tactics. in particular early part of race, Rdr confirmed gelding had begun moderately in past & added with delay of start, this may have contributed to not beginning as expected.

On arrival at the barriers, staff had to adjust the crossover noseband on the gelding which was placed outside the bridle. Trainer Ms. G Doig was reminded by Stewards acting under the provision of AR 106(1) of her obligation to ensure all gear placed on horses is fitted correctly. Post race veterinary examination was undertaken due to the performance of the horse. This examination failed to detect any abnormalities.

Acting under the provision of AT75, Trainer N Beck was advised a Warning would be placed on the gelding for its racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination was undertaken. This examination failed to detect any abnormalities.
