When quest reg racing in a forward position, which was in contrast to most recent starts, Rdr stated instructions were similar to recent runs, to pressure gelding from gates in an attempt to be forward-added gelding had been slow away last start & settled back. Tnr confirmed instructs & said instructions were same as previous two starts, whereby gelding has been slowly away & unable to be forward over short distances-added gelding was able to obtain a forward position, which with the step up in distance was beneficial to performance.

She added that, as the gelding was not responding to her riding and continued to lay in, she elected not to fully ride her mount out to the finish. She added the gelding may not have appreciated todays track conditions.
