rior to the beginning of the race, ROCK PAPER SIZZLE had dislodged Rider B Richardson on route to the barriers and had galloped some distance before making contact with the outside fence. The gelding was scratched on vet’s advice at 2.49pm. Trainer B Richardson was advised that the gelding would require a veterinary clearance prior to any future race starts.

When questioned regarding the improved performance, rider stated her instructions were to have the horse where comfortable and after beginning well, elected to be more positive on the mare. She added that the mare was very one paced and had to be hard ridden for the majority of the event. Trainer P O’Toole agreed and added that JAGRAP had only recently returned from a long spell of racing and had only had two starts this preparation, with her last race being on the dirt which the mare didn’t handle.
