Daunting Warrior	Hampered at the start. Raced in restricted room for a short distance leaving the 800m. Changed stride in the early stages of the home straight and, as a result, shifted in abruptly resulting in jockey Beau Appo becoming unbalanced. Jockey Beau Appo reported that he was instructed to lead on the gelding today, which was having its first race start, however after beginning only fairly, he rode is mount along in the early stages before obtaining a position in the second half of the field. Champagne Warrior	Upon returning to scale jockey M. Schrapel and connections made application for the gelding to be declared non-runner alleging that the barrier stalls did not open, disadvantaging the runner. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol footage, stewards concluded that CHAMPAIGNE WARRIOR was denied a fair start as the barrier stalls failed to open simultaneously disadvantaging the runner at the start. Subsequently stewards declared CHAMPAGNE WARRIOR non-runner.	Texas	08/12/2018

Shear Vogue	Jockey B Appo stated that the mare never travelled strongly at any stage during the event could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. River of Love	When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the mare rdr stated mount was down in journey today however fresh and he expected a forward showing. Rdr stated his mount settled in a midfield position and failed to travel strongly at any stage. Rdr stated his mount was under full pressure from the 700m and was disappointing in its run to the line. Rdr stated his mount felt reluctant to stretch out during the event and in his opinion may appreciate softer conditions than those today. P/R vet exam no ab's.	Murwillumbah	14/12/2018
