Race 2
Fury of the Storm Knuckled badly on jumping. On retuning to scale apprentice H. English reported that it was her intention to settle in a more forward position however after knuckling at the start she was forced to settle further back than anticipated. App. English went on to say that the gelding travelled only fairly throughout the event, however when able to get to the outside of runners in the home straight the gelding made in her opinion strong late ground. Wind River Crowded for room on jumping to the inside of IGNITE THE MAGIC and to the outside of TAKEMEOUTBACK, which shifted out. Approaching the 200m improved onto heels and had to alter course to obtain clear running. Aquis Park Gold Coast 30/11/2019

Dram of Delago Q'd re performance, rdr std mnt races best when able to lead uncontested & dictate terms. Added when mnt was challenged for the lead she elected to travel outside that runner rather than ask too much of mnt in an effort to obtain the outright lead. Fthr std mnt worked hard within itself throughout mid stgs. Fthr std mnt failed to sprint on straightening & appeared to fold when challenged by other runners. Post race vet slow to recover. Spirit's Pride After being slow into stride from a wide barrier, the horse was obliged to race wide before obtaining a position outside the leader near the 1000m. Toowoomba 16/11/2019
Spanish Hurricane Was bumped and became awkward on jumping away. Jockey J. Byrne reported when caught wide in the early stages he elected to press his mount to stride forward to the lead, which he did so approaching the 1400m. He then indicated he attempted to steady the pace of his mount, which then did not respond and overraced badly in the early and middle stages. He added that, in his opinion, this had a detrimental effect on the horse’s overall performance. Stewards noted the explanation. Sunshine Coast 24/11/2019

Mishani Phoenix A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in its near hind leg. Trainer D. Murphy was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to resuming racing. Toowoomba 21/09/2019
Yaba Dabl Doya Improved on to heels over the final 80m and had to alter course and went to the line without being fully tested. Doomben 25/09/2019

Phionaix After passing 200m improved onto heels, steadied and alter course to the outside to obtain clear running. Rider re tactics - explained after beginning fairly from wide barrier and then laying in shortly after start and bumping heavily with DARK ARCHER then allowed to balance up and elected to restrain to rear to find a position closer to the rail as he was of the opinion if he had pressed forward may have been caught wide. Added as gelding having first start over 1400m of the opinion going forward would have been detrimental to its chances to finish race off. Aquis Park Gold Coast 16/11/2019

Tisani Rose Jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with the barrier partition. Laid in throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination of the filly was performed after jockey L. Tarrant reported his mount felt awkward in its action revealed no abnormalities. Trainer K. Kemp undertook to report to stewards anything that comes to light with the filly that may have had a bearing on its performance. Sunshine Coast 08/11/2019
