After passing the 400m when inclined to lay in and was steadied from the heels of LETS TORQUE A DEEL which shifted out. Laid in under pressure in the home straight and caused its rider to stop riding and straighten over the concluding stages.

A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer D. Murphy was advised that the gelding must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again. Trainer D. Murphy advised that the gelding will now be spelled.
