An inquiry was opened into the reason for Jockey G KLIESE (OLD SCHOOL) having to check his mount when crowded by DUBAI EAGLE at the 500 metres. After taking evidence from Jockey P CULLEN (DUBAI EAGLE) and Apprentice J DOOLAN (ZAPLUCK), it was established that DUBAI EAGLE had initially raced in restricted room to the inside of ZAPLUCK approaching the 500m, however after being cleared by that runner, Dubai Eagle then proceeded to shift in marginally, tightening OLD SCHOOL. Jockey P CULLEN (DUBAI EAGLE) was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in at that point AR 131 (a).
