Rider H Richardson indicated it was not her intention to lead, however after being forced wider on the track approaching the 800m and with a lack of pace to the inside, she allowed SWEET VENOM to stride forward and lead the event. Ms Richardson added going forward it would be the intention of the stable to ride the horse in a similar manner.
