As a result, rider T Banks elected to ease the horse out of the event as he was concerned that FRIDAY’S JET may have sustained an injury in the incident. ADELAIDE MOMENT, which was racing to the outside, was severely checked as a consequence. A post-race veterinary examination of FRIDAY’S JET revealed no abnormalities. Jumped awkwardly. Shortly after the start had to be steadied from the heels and lost ground. A short distance after passing the winning post, the saddle shifted on the gelding, resulting in Jockey T. Banks being dislodged and then struck by the trailing HIDDEN GLADE. Rider T. Banks was assessed by Queensland Ambulance Service officials and was cleared of any injuries.
