Kendrick confirmed his disappointment in the performance and was accepting of the fact that the horse was not entirely suited to the distance, however was concerned that the horse could not muster any early speed and stay in touch with the main body of the field. He indicated that he would have veterinary tests performed in the coming days, the results of which he would report to stewards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Stewards sought an explanation from J. Lloyd regarding the riding tactics he adopted in the early stages and whether an opportunity existed to race outside of the eventual winner ENTERPRISE MISS. Jockey Lloyd stated that he was instructed to ride the horse with cover and get it to settle in the early stages as it raced well when ridden this way at its most previous start. He added that he was satisfied to be trailing ENTERPRISE MISS approaching the home turn, however when ENTERPRISE MISS sprinted he was left flat-footed and shifted to the inside in the home straight and made steady ground.
