Raced keenly in the early & middle stages. Hung out rounding the h/t. The whip of rdr became momentarily entangled in the reins in the early part of the home straight. Post race vet did not reveal any abs.

Began awkwardly. Made contact with the hind quarters of MALCRIADO when racing in restricted room approaching the 900m, turning that horse in, resulting in AJANI being tightened on to the running rail. AJANI then commenced to overrace whilst leading. Laid out passing the 500m and made heavy contact with MALCRIADO.

Began awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which performed below market expectation failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with Trainer S ODea in regards to the geldings recovery.

Began awkwardly. Shifted out near the 300m and, as a result, bumped ARCHER’S TREASURE. Shifted in abruptly near the 150m making heavy contact with COLPO DI TAMBURO and, as a result, Beau Appo, the rider of TISANI MAGIC, became unbalanced.

Stewards questioned jockey M. McGillivray regarding his riding of the horse, which settled at the rear of the field, which was in contrast to its established racing pattern. Jockey McGillivray indicated as it was having its first start over the distance he had been instructed to not overly pressure the horse in the early stages and to obtain cover midfield. He added that during the early stages it became apparent he would be caught in a 3 wide position and rather than pressure his mount he elected to steady and take up a trailing position with cover closer to the fence. over-raced in the early stages and near the 1100m had to be steadied off heels.Performed below expectations; rider Luke Currie stated that the filly, which had not raced for six weeks, would benefit from todays run. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have some nasal discharge and a slow recovery.

Raced three wide without cover throughout. Became awkwardly placed at the heels of BULLION BELLE passing the 500m and was forced wider on the track. Commenced to lose ground on straightening and finished at the rear of the field. Rider J. Stanley reported that the gelding today was caught wide and suffered some minor inconvenience throughout the event, however was disappointing. He added that in his opinion the gelding appreciates being ridden more conservatively with cover to allow it to utilise its sprint at the finish of the event.
