Gallagher stated that he was held up rounding the home turn and in the home straight, and passing the 200m he was attempting to improve between DUTCH TREAT and LITTLE JOHN, but soon afterwards DUTCH TREAT, when weakening, shifted out under pressure, which resulted in him being disappointed for that run and having to alter course to the outside over the final stages in order to improve. His explanation was accepted.
