Top Me Up Again S. Galloway advised that he had intended riding in a more forward position, however, in the early stages there were runners to the inside which showed early speed and he elected to steady and secure a position close to the fence with cover behind SOLDATI, which he considered a chance in the race. He added that when another runner improved around him approaching the 500m he elected to shift out, forcing that horse wider, and improve his horse into the race and whilst his mount responded at this point it was somewhat disappointing in the run to the line. First Dawn Raced greenly throughout the event, became awkward at heels after passing the 750m and had to be checked. Obliged to alter course approaching the 350m to secure clear running. Sunshine Coast 06/09/2019

Get Stuck In Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. When asked to explain the tactics adopted and the performance of the gelding, apprentice N. Keal stated his instructions were to be positive and if possible settle in a midfield position. He stated that after being moderately away from the wide alley the gelding was caught 3 wide in a rearward position. He further added that Mr Keal instructed him not to overly restrain the gelding and therefore he was reluctant to restrain to the rear of the field to find a position closer to the rail as he was of the opinion the gelding settled well, albeit 3 wide wit Ipswich 04/09/2019

Real Supremacy Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Apprentice A. Thompson could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the gelding’s near fore leg, and some muscle soreness on its offside. Trainer’s Representative L. Sears advised that, in her opinion, the gelding was not suited to the soft racing surface today, and in light of its lengthy preparation and the results of the veterinary examination, the stable will now consider sending the horse for a spell. Don't Doubt Lara Buffeted near the 1300m and made contact with the running rail, losing ground, when tightened for room by SECRET SITES, which was tightened for room and taken in by REAL ESTATE. D. Smith, the rider of REAL ESTATE, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that at that point he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of SECRET SITES. Jockey Smith’s licence to ride in races was suspended for 10 days, to commence at midnight Sunday 15 September and expire at midnight Wednesday 25 September 2019. Comogli Shifted wider near the 700m to improve and raced wide without cover from that point onwards. Stewards questioned trainer S. Kendrick regarding the horse’s seemingly improved performance. He indicated that the horse’s improvement could be attributed to the step up in distance, he added that he has always been of the opinion that it would be suited to longer distances and is of the view that the horse will continue to improve when stepping up to 1600m. Eric The Eel Slow to begin. Raced three wide with cover. Improved up on to the heels of RELOADED when overracing near the 900m and soon afterwards had to be checked and shifted out abruptly. Hung in when placed under pressure over the final 300m. Eagle Farm 08/06/2019

Whitterick When being restrained to obtain cover overraced in the early stages until approaching the 1000m. Shifted in near the 1400m and made contact with another runner on a number of occasions. Jockey T Harrison, rider of WHITTERICK, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Laid out under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. Lost its off hind plate in running. A post race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the off hind leg, consistent with having been galloped on. Sunshine Coast 25/08/2019

Golden Mean Connections advised that the horse would be ridden in a more forward position than at its most recent start. The horse was ridden in a position three wide outside the lead without cover, then weakened in the home straight. M. Hellyer, when asked to comment on the horse’s performance, indicated that from the 700m the filly did not travel comfortably and was very disappointing over the concluding stages. Trainer D. Saute Shortly after the start laid in and then approaching the 900m had to be steadied and got its head up when being restrained after being awkwardly placed at the heels of SLIPPERY SLIDE which laid in and away from ARABELLA EKCELS. After passing the 800m was unable to be restrained in a trailing position and was shifted three wide to improve. After passing the 200m laid out under pressure for a short distance.
