Stewart indicated that the tempo of the race was slower than he would have liked and that he had anticipated being a little bit further back in the field, however, felt that the horse travelled comfortably until being asked to respond approaching the home turn and did not quicken. He felt that the horse having its first run this preparation over 1400m may have had an effect but he could offer no explanation for the performance, which he felt was disappointing.

Rider comment re performance - stated gelding proved difficult to ride in the early stages and at a point passing the 800m when asked to quicken into the race to follow AMICITIA failed to respond to his riding and from that point on proved disappointing. Added in his opinion may not have appreciated today's racing surface.Vetted - no abnormalities.
