Trainer similarly could off no explanation, adding that the filly had pleased in its trackwork and that he would report back to stewards in the coming days regarding the condition. A post race exam revealed a poor post race recovery.

When asked to explain the horse’s seemingly improved performance, trainer B. Laming stated that the filly had worked well since its last start and performed well in a recent jump-out with the addition of blinkers, which were added to its gear for today’s event. He added that with a slight step up in distance and in his opinion today’s race being slightly inferior, that may have contributed to the improved performance. Mr Laming also advised that he did not support the filly today and was surprised by the win. Stewards noted his explanation.
