As jockey R. Moloney was to be overweight, jockey R. Fradd was the replacement rider for the horse. Jockey Moloney was fined the sum of $300 (AR190(3). When asked to comment on the performance of the horse, jockey R. Fradd indicated his mount travelled well, was momentarily held up for clear running rounding the home turn, and then shifted out to obtain clear running near the 400m. Post-race vet examination revealed the horse to be suffering from Cardiac Arrythmia. Trainer C Munce was advised that he must provide a vet certificate and ECG prior to having the gelding officially trial before racing again.

App S Tomlinson (BOOMI'S BUDDY) plead guilty to a charge to careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that approaching the 800m shifted in when insufficiently clear of STUBAI resulting in that runner being taken in onto DON’T STOP resulting in that runner having to be severely checked and lose ground.
