Rider M Rodd reported the gelding did not feel comfortable in its action throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination of REBEL ROCK revealed the gelding to be striding short in both front legs as a result of bruising to both heels. Co-trainer W Hulbert was advised REBEL ROCK must obtain a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start.
