As a result, was unable to be tested in the run to the finish. Jockey S. Cormack, rider of MR MONEY BAGS, was reminded of his obligations to stop and straighten his mounts when shifting ground in the future.

When questioned, app rider reported that he had been instructed to ride his mount in a rearward position. He said that from its wide barrier he restrained his mount to comply with his instructions and that during the middle stages when the tempo slowed, he allowed the gelding to improve around the field. He added that on straightening he felt that his mount was still a winning chance, however, when placed under pressure in the straight it ran to the finish only fairly. He further added that in his opinion the gelding would derive benefit from today's race.
