Apprentice E Smith reported her mount didn’t handle the dirt surface and added that the lengthy delay may have been a factor in her mount’s poor performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Bell reported that although the mare had pulled up well from its disappointing perforamce, she had samples of bloods sent away for analysis which showed the mare to have low iron and protein levels. She further stated that she had since had the mare treated and would continue with its campaign.

Trainer G Bell was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to FASTNET FLYER starting again.

Trainer R Vale was advised a veterinary certificate would be required prior to FRUGAL’s next start.
