When qst, rdr std instructed to ride conservatively, but due to lack of speed was able to obtain trailing pos closer to speed. When tempo slackened near 1000m mnt became awkward on heels so shifted wider & raced three wide thereafter. Std mnt trav comfortably in this pos until passing the 600m, whereby allowed another rnr to cross at the 400m. Add mnt began to hang out near 300m making h/turn wide, & in early part of straight began to shift inwards. Near 100m filly shifted out. Rdr agreed with Stwds better option was to press forward in early stages to race outside leader.

He added that the horse faltered shortly after entering the home straight, but he could offer no explanation for the performance. The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse had a slow post-race recovery and that connections had advised that the horse would undergo an endoscopic examination, the results of which would be reported to stewards.
