When asked to comment on the below market performance M Morrison, stable representative for Trainer M Costa, reported the horse had worked well during the week and the stable was confident of a forward showing today. Rider J Guthmann-Chester reported MONEY SHOT travelled well in the run, however when placed under pressure from the 600 metres failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. Jockey B Stewart, the rider of LUSKIN HERO, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that when passing the 1000m he allowed LUSKIN HERO to shift in when not sufficiently clear of CENTREFIRE causing this runner to be checked. Jockey B Stewarts license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 11 days to commence midnight 4/10/2021 and to conclude midnight 15/10/2021.

Stewards considered the provisions of AR204 and given that ANIMATE had placed 4th in the event, could not be declared a non-starter. This matter was addressed with the Club Starters and the barriers retested prior to the next event. Cast its off fore plate in running.

Stewards were of the opinion that GLORIOUS RUBY shifted outwards resulting in THE KEWESS becoming awkwardly placed on its heels and having to be taken outwards.
