Ask Audrey Jockey S Bogenhuber questd re performance. Instructed to obtain a position with cover, commenced to over-race and was inclined to lay out approaching and rounding home turn. Disappointed in performance and would benefit benefit from blinkers being removed. A post-race vet exam revealed poor post-race recovery and also in season. Mr Sexton expressed his disappointment in performance and undertook to advise stewards of any abnormalities post race. Gold Coast 29/12/2018
Sneaky Sniper Bumped heavily on jumping away and, as a consequence, was tightened for room. Bumped heavily shortly after the start. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Forced wider on the track rounding the home turn, and then commenced to lay in in the home straight. Toowoomba 22/12/2018

The Captain's Lady Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Apprentice B. Nothdurft could offer no explanation for the mare’s disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be exhibiting an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer B. Currie was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic exam, prior to being permitted to race again. Toowoomba 13/01/2018

Greynomad Had to be steadied to avoid heels leaving the 1300m. Held up momentarily rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight. Sunshine Coast 26/12/2018

Red Calvary Overraced passing the 1800m and steadied from heels. Continued to overrace for some distance thereafter and shifted out near the 1500m and raced wide from that point onwards. Gold Coast 22/12/2018
Choppa The gelding was declared a late scratching at Doomben on Saturday, 29 December 2018 after the trainer notified stewards that it had sustained an injury whilst being loaded on to the float. A pre-race veterinary examination today cleared the gelding to start. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages and near the 1500m shifted wider on the track and was allowed to stride forward to obtain the lead near the 1300m. Beaudesert 01/01/2019

Kirin's Lad Laid in under pressure over the final 50m and made contact with THE LAUNCHER. C. Eaton was reminded of her obligations regarding use of the whip prior to the 100m. When questioned, the stable representative for trainer T. White explained that the gelding was resuming from a significant spell and had worked well leading into today’s event, and without participating in a jump-out or a trial, they were quietly confident of a forward showing on its recent work. Sizzling Sun Bumped by another runner near the 600m. When questioned by Stewards regarding the seemingly disappointing performance, jockey N. Tomizawa explained that, in his opinion, the filly had to work hard from the outside barrier today and also raced greenly throughout.
