Phillips in the coming days regarding the disappointing performance.

A post race veterinary examination found the horse to have suffered a laceration and bruising to the heel of the near fore and also lost its off hind plate, which also resulted in a portion of the horse’s hoof being removed. Trainer J. Dixon indicated the horse would now be sent for a spell following this injury. Stewards advised Mr Dixon that if he does not spell the horse he would be required to provide a veterinary certificate prior to the horse’s next race start.
