Airport When questioned regarding the performance rider stated he was instructed to go forward and find the rail but when runners to his inside showed speed he was unable to cross and the gelding only travelled fairly throughout and did not respond to his riding in the straight. Mamzar hampered near the 900 metres. When asked to comment on the below market performance rider K Gates stated the mare travelled fairly to the 700 metres however when placed under pressure from that point was disappointing. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off hind leg and abrasions to the off fore leg. Bundaberg 04/05/2019
Megashot Upon returning to scale apprentice S. Lacy reported that it was not her intention to settle in a forward position, however the gelding overraced when caught wide in the early stages and subsequently was allowed to stride forward to settle outside the leader near the 1000m.
