When quest re tactics adopted in middle stages, in particular reluctance to stride forward & lead event, rdr stated she is inst not to lead on mare but rather settle in a prominent position with cover. Rdr stated mount settled forward & outside the leader & when it became apparent that no other runner would cross & provide cover she elected to have her mount travel as comfortably as possible in the position it was in rather than ask it to improve to lead on the fence. P/R vet exam found mare to be lame n/h. Vet cert required PTNS.

Gelding failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing in the manner in which it weakened over the final 200m. Post race vet exam revealed no abs.
