Kincaple Chief Began awkwardly and lost ground. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight and was restrained approaching the winning post, going to the line without being fully tested. Mackay 14/07/2018

Prince of Tie Hung out after the start and continued to shift wider on the course despite the efforts of its rider, causing interference to other runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. After considering the racing characteristics of PRINCE OF TIE, stewards advised trainer K. Schweida that the gelding will need to requalify at a distance greater than 800m to the stewards’ satisfaction. Mr Schweida indicated that he would experiment with some gear in order to improve the racing manners of PRINCE OF TIE. Ipswich 24/08/2018

Holbrook Near the 900m steadied from the heels of MAKFI ARMOUR which shifted in when placed in restricted room to the inside of DER SIEGER which shifted in. She Za Boss Began awkwardly and a short distance later severely tightened for room. Rider comment re performance - stated after beginning only fairly unable to obtain a forward position as intended and settled further back than anticipated. Added filly shown good early speed in recent trials and as a result was expecting to settle closer to the speed and when unable to do so this may have attributed to its performance. Further stated filly would be better suited once it steps up in distance.Vetted - no abnormalities. Gold Coast 22/08/2018
Cool Attitude Slow to begin. Rider reported in his view the filly may have resented racing in earmuffs, which he attributed to the poor performance. Gold Coast 22/08/2018

Amthaal Raced keenly in the early stages. Momentarily raced in restricted room to the inside of ALFIE JUNIOR whilst overracing passing the winning post on the first occasion. Apprentice L. Kilner and Trainer Mr. B. Currie both expressed the opinion that the mare had not backed up satisfactorily following its start at Doomben two days ago and, for that reason, it raced flat today. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer Mr. B. Currie was advised that the mare will require a veterinary clearance prior to being permitted to race again. Toowoomba 17/08/2018

General Assault Hampered and forced wider near the 1600m and after being caught 3 wide was allowed to press forward to obtain the lead near the 1200m. When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer K Loy explained that the gelding was having its second start for the stable and she was of the view that the gelding would appreciate today’s track conditions and the step-up in distance.
