Rider questioned re tactics - stated gelding overraced early stages and pulled hard and was reluctant to allow it to stride forward when pace was slow early stages. Added in his opinion gelding settled well after leaving 1200m and improved near 600m however did not respond to his riding. Added gelding may be feeling effects of recent racing. Trainer confirmed gelding will now be sent for a short let up. Vetted - no abnormalities and swab sample taken.
