Race 2
Bimini Road Raced 3 wide without cover. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey R. Stewart indicated that after beginning only fairly and riding his mount forward he was obliged to race 3 wide, and stated he had given consideration to placing more pressure on his mount in an attempt to race forward and cross to the lead, however he did not feel the mare was travelling well enough to do so, indicating that BIMINI ROAD did not travel well throughout the event. His opinion overall was the horse proved disappointing. Stewards will interview trainer Mr R. Heathcote in the coming days in relation to Sunshine Coast 08/02/2019
Splitter A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had lost the off-hind plate in running. Ipswich 24/10/2018
Tziporah Held up rounding home turn and in early stages of home straight. Near 200m when attempting a run to outside of NASHVILLE SKYLINE steadied when disappointed for that run and was obliged to shift back to the inside to obtain clear running. Gold Coast 22/08/2018

Rock 'n' Sol Approaching the 400m steadied from the heels of GLOBAL CHOICE. Near the 300m bumped and became unbalanced. Raced wide throughout. Gold Coast 03/10/2018

Fi Fi No Fuss Was severely tightened for room on jumping away and had to be checked. Sunshine Coast 03/02/2019

Warface Hung inwards in the straight, resulting in its rider being unable to ride his mount out fully. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Doomben 09/02/2019
Il Riccio Momentarily inconvenienced shortly after entering home straight when carried outwards by JOBIWOOD and making contact with COUNT CUMANI. Hung outwards over the final 200m. Gold Coast 28/11/2018
 
Race 5
Pole Volter When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, Trainer R Lyford explained that the gelding which was having its first start for the stable had worked reasonably, including a jump-out where it had performed competitively. Mr Lyford further added that he expected the gelding to be looking for distances further than that of todays event and was surprised by the win. He further added that with the fast tempo up front in a small field, this was a contributing factor to the gelding finishing the race off in the manner in which it did. Gold Coast 26/01/2019

Boomista Near the 1000m had to be steadied from the heels of JUNCTION which shifted in. When questioned as to the performance App. J Grob stated that the filly travelled into the race nicely, however, peaked on its run passing the 300 and in his opinion proved disappointing. App. Grob noted that a nasal strip had been added to the fillys gear for the first time today. App. Grob added that passing the winning post the filly made an abnormal respiratory sound and as such may benefit from the addition of a tongue tie. On the Spot When questioned as to the horse’s performance, jockey J. Orman stated that the gelding was slow to begin and was then slow to muster speed, despite his efforts, before eventually obtaining a position outside the leader near the 1100m. Jockey Orman added that the gelding did not travel comfortably at any stage and failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure leaving the 500m and proved disappointing. Jockey Orman was of the opinion that the gelding may perform better when kept fresh for its races. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Gold Coast 18/08/2018
