Began awkwardly and a short distance later bumped heavily on hind quarters and became unbalanced. Raced three wide with cover early and middle stages before shifting out leaving 600m and raced four wide without cover for the remainder. Leaving 200m inconvenienced by TOOGOOLAWAH TRUMP, which shifted out under pressure. Rider reported the bit may have become displaced, which made it difficult for her to control the horse, particularly in the middle stages. Vetted - no abnormalities.

Murphy explained the gelding travelled fairly throughout the event, however failed to respond when asked for an effort and proved disappointing. He further added the blinkers were removed for today’s event and, in his opinion, that gear may need to be added for its next race start.

Began awkwardly and made contact with the offside partition of its barrier resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced. Rider could offer no tangible explanation for the disappointing performance of the filly. Added mount traveled well throughout the early and middle stages, however when he placed his mount under pressure shortly after straightening, his mount failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing in its efforts to finish the race off. Post race vet no abs. Rep since advised filly will now be spelled.

She added that, in her opinion, the horse did not handle the tight turning Gatton track last start, and she had expected a forward showing in today’s event.
