Bougoure advised that the horse would be ridden more forward if circumstances permit. Despite the urgings of its rider the horse was unable to hold a more forward position in the early stages and settled in a midfield position. Commenced to overrace and threw its head in the air on a number of occasions when the pace steadied approaching the 1000m. Had to be restrained from heels approaching the 500m.

Rdr std the gelding found the fast tempo of the event too strong & as a result did not travel well throughout the early & middle stages. Added in the straight he expected the leaders to give ground, but when they continued to maintain their positions, could not quicken & was one-paced to the finish line. Post-race vet exam did not rev any abs. Co-trainer concurred with the views of rider & undertook to report back on the post-race condition.
