Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight had to alter course to the outside of SCOTTISH PRINCE in order to improve. When asked to explain the reason for his mount being further back in the field than anticipated, M. Cahill reported that he expected to be further forward in the field, but after being a little slow to begin the gelding was unable to muster the necessary speed and as a result settled at the rear of the field.

Stated rounding home turn observed a runner shifting out and attempted to improve into developing run to its inside, however when run did not fully eventuate mount was disappointed, had to be checked approaching the 200m and her mount was then held up for a short distance, where she had some difficulty in shifting it to the outside of heels due to its tendency to hang in.
