SHEZABEANS was subsequently declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 5:03pm when Stewards could not be satisfied that SHEZABEANS would have carried its allocated weight.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have pulled up in a distressed manner. A veterinary clearance is required prior to the gelding trialling. When asked to comment on the below market performance rider R Stewart advised the gelding raced most disappointing and was very one paced during the race. He added that TACTICAL MOVE never travelled at any stage of the event and when placed under pressure failed to respond to his riding. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with co-trainer T Edmonds in the coming days.

Std after beginning only fairly from wide barrier it became evident he was going to be caught racing wide & without cover, & since mnt has tendency to overrace, he elected to restrain in early stages & settle at the rear further back than anticipated. Added after improving around field on home turn, he may have been on inferior part of track. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Co-tnr confirmed instructions & agreed with rdr & advised colt will now be spelled.
